Black Friday is when a lot of people finally buy the laser they’ve been researching. It can be a good time to buy, but laser listings make it hard to tell a real discount from a relabeled one: big strike-through prices, constantly changing bundles and several near-identical listings per model. This guide doesn’t list 2026 deals, because we can’t know them in advance. It explains how to judge a deal on the day, using the prices we recorded on October 29, 2026 as a baseline.

How laser prices behave

A few patterns from our own price data are worth knowing before the sales start.

Street prices already sit well below list. On October 29, 2026, before any holiday event:

MachineAmazon priceListed “List Price”Earlier reference
xTool P2Sabout $2,919$4,499$4,199 at launch (The Gadgeteer, Jan 2025)
xTool F1 Ultraabout $2,499$2,919$3,699 when Make: tested it
xTool F2about $1,219$1,699
xTool M2 10Wabout $499$699$599 at Tom’s Hardware’s review
Longer Ray5 40Wabout $648$799.99
xTool F2 Ultra (dual)about $5,099$6,499

So a “35% off” badge on Black Friday may be measured against a list price few people pay. That doesn’t make it a bad price, but it does mean the badge tells you little.

Bundles move independently. On October 29 the Falcon A1 Pro + Rotary Roller kit (about $1,012) cost less than the bare A1 Pro (about $1,099), and the LaserPecker LP5 + Enclosure (about $2,836) undercut the bare LP5 (about $2,899). During sales, check every bundle of the model you want. The best deal is often not the headline listing.

Maker stores and Amazon differ. Creality’s own store had the A1 Pro on sale at $879 the same day Amazon showed $1,099, and Glowforge sold the Aura alone for $999 while Amazon’s only offer was a filter bundle from a third-party seller. Compare both, including shipping, returns and warranty.

How to read Amazon’s prices

Amazon explains its strike-through prices on its help pages:

  • List Price is the manufacturer’s suggested price. Amazon says it shows one only if customers bought the product, or other retailers offered it, at or above that price in the past 90 days (180 for seasonal products). It “may not necessarily reflect the prevailing market price.”
  • Typical Price is the 90-day median price customers paid on Amazon, excluding limited-time promotions. This is the more useful reference.
  • “Lowest Price in XX Days” means the current price is at or below the lowest featured offer in that window.

When a laser shows a Typical Price, compare the deal against that. A third-party price tracker can show longer history if you want it.

Your checklist on the day

  1. Confirm the exact model and power. Makers sell several wattages under one listing. Our data notes the Ray5 groups configurations by work area, with the 40 W as the “385x385mm” option, and Creality titles the 10 W Falcon A1 as “80W”. Check optical output in the spec table, not the title. See wattage explained.
  2. Confirm the bundle contents. The xTool S1’s only Amazon listing is titled “Rotary Bundle”; confirm the RA2 Pro is actually in the box. Price the extras you’d buy anyway (rotary, purifier, honeycomb) and compare bundle math. Our accessories guide has typical prices.
  3. Check the seller. On October 29 the Glowforge Aura’s Amazon offer came from a third-party seller with 2 in stock. Glowforge also went through an Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors in late 2025 before its co-founders bought back the assets, and the Aura needs Glowforge’s cloud software to run. Check who’s selling and what warranty applies.
  4. Check whether it’s outgoing. ComMarker’s store labels the B4 “Clearance” next to the newer B6, and xTool’s Canadian store listed the S1 under clearance. A clearance price can be good value, but confirm warranty and parts support.
  5. Check the return window. A 99 lb CO2 or a 231 lb P3 is a big item to send back. Know the terms before you buy.
  6. Budget the extras. Ventilation, fire gear and eyewear for Class 4 machines are part of the purchase. See the ventilation and safety guides.

Which of our picks to watch

If you’ve already narrowed your choice, these are the listings worth tracking. Prices are October 29, 2026 figures, so check today’s price.

  • xTool P2S, our best overall, at about $2,919. Also watch the Versatile Bundle (about $3,948 with rotary, riser and conveyor) if you’d use all three.
  • xTool M2 10W, our pick for beginners, at about $499. Compare it against the 20W (about $899) and 40W Deluxe (about $1,529) listings; a deal on a higher-power head can be worth more than a small cut on the 10 W.
  • Creality Falcon A1 Pro, our best-value enclosed pick, at about $1,099. Compare the rotary and IR bundles and Creality’s own store.
  • xTool F2, our best portable, at about $1,219, plus its purifier and Deluxe bundles.
  • Creality Falcon A1C for a budget Class 1 machine at about $379–$399; note the tiny 150 × 150 mm bed.

If you’re still deciding what to buy, start with how to choose a laser engraver or the laser matcher, then come back with a short list. A deal on the wrong laser type isn’t a deal.

Bottom line

Decide what you need before the sales, note today’s price on the exact listings you’d buy, and on the day judge discounts against the Typical Price or your own notes, not the list price. Compare every bundle, check the seller and box contents, and confirm the return terms. And verify the price on the day: we can’t promise any particular 2026 deal will appear.

Frequently asked questions

Are laser engravers cheaper on Black Friday?
Often, but not always by as much as the strike-through suggests. Several machines in our data already sold well below list price on October 29, 2026. Judge a deal against the recent price you could actually pay, not the list price.
Should I buy on Amazon or the maker's store?
Check both. On October 29, 2026 Creality's own store had the Falcon A1 Pro at $879 against $1,099 on Amazon, and Glowforge's store sold the Aura alone for $999. Amazon can win on returns and delivery, so compare the total, including warranty and return terms.
Is a clearance laser a good deal?
It can be, if the price reflects it and support continues. ComMarker lists the B4 as clearance in favor of the newer B6, and xTool's Canadian store listed the S1 under clearance. Confirm warranty, parts and software support before buying an outgoing model.
